Oh dear, oh dear. I have indeed been a naughty boy and have missed a vital month of financial reporting! Slap my legs and send me to bed with no supper 
Basically, I spent a shit load of money when travelling through Europe, making a lot of mistakes and having a bag full of fun. As far as expenditure goes – I lost track. The other biggy last month was the fact that it was my last month of a steady pay packet. With money hemorrhaging quickly from my bank account, and my nonexistent online income; I admittedly started to freak out and panic about my new life…
…But then awesomeness happened.
Advertising on Website A: $700
Advertising on Website B: $350
Advertising on Website C: $0
Total Income: $1050
Current Savings: £2, 800
As you can see, I’m running quite a few websites and more are to follow. The ideas are rolling around in my head and I’m starting to see the fruits of my efforts. I still have no idea when my next dollar/quid is coming in, but last month was clearly one that has given me hope. Before this, my personal best was $80!!
So yeah, I’m pretty chuffed that my first full month of being self-employed got me into treble figures and hope it will continue, so that I don’t splurge into my beloved savings! One thing that I’ve always dreamed about is getting paid to write about football and the dream is looking pretty possible after this month, long may it continue!
The next few months are going to be absolutely vital for me and I’m going to work my balls off to maintain this income. Just saying.

Jumping in the self-employment wagon is scary but I’m glad it turned out alright for you.
If you don’t mind sharing your tricks, what technology do you use for your advertisement income? Paid links, AdSense, sidebar banners?

It’s going well so far. I have not tried google adsense out yet, all my income came from text link sales. I only accepted travel related words for this site and everything else I didn’t think was eligible (casinos etc), I passed over to my football site – the readers don’t care about that sort of thing over there. Anything else – just ask

The companies all contacted me, via the contacts box on my site. I wish I knew how to contact companies first, there’s bound to be a way! Did Adbeans ask you about link sales or that silly widget thingy?
